		<description>Thanks for keeping us informed! The only thing that stands out is the idea that Inktomi will crawl a paid-for-inclusion page. From what I understand the paid and spidered indexes are separate. Is it really true that if you submit a site map, a paid inclusion site will send a non-paid-for-inclusion spider over the links?

		<description>The paid index and the unpaid, spidered index are indeed separate. Having a URL in the paid index does not influence the appearance of other URLs into the unpaid index.

However, it is quite likely that the appearance of the paid-submitted link in Inktomi could influence its ranking with Google, which in turn could influence Inktomi to spider the other links from the site. Still, those links will be in a separate index.

The only way to make sure is to check one&#039;s web log and see if the Inktomi spider has been there lately. It is pretty hardworking and most likely has visited already.</description>
